Hey all--
We won't have an ultimate game any weeknight this week because of the BASEBALL playoffs which of course include both the Mets (yay) and the Yankees (boo).
So, we will play some ultimate on saturday night (10/7) at 8pm at Manhasset High School, which will be fun because it will correspond with Anthony's soccer game (see northshoresoccer.blogspot.com) -- maybe we'll have a massive soccer game and then a massive ultimate game, who knows. So see you Saturday and Let's Go Mets.

PS -- The field lights are back in business, no more darkness! (that is definitely a metaphor/symbol for other things, but we won't force it.)

You need to play ultimate frisbee with us on Thursday, August 24 at 8pm.

Ultimate frisbee is a game that consists of running around, throwing and catching a white circular disc.

The game takes place at Manhasset High School.

You can find it by looking here.

The game is in the back of the school, on the beautiful astroturf field under the sparkling white lights.

Last night's games in Xtremely hot weather were monstrously fun... we had a 13-8 game and a 4-3 game that ended as the lights went out. Highlight of the night was Peter Merker (11 years old) slithering unguarded through the ignorant defense to miraculously score 4 goals in the first game.

Come out again THURSDAY NIGHT at 8 because if you're not part of the ultimate frisbee solution, you surely are part of the ultimate frisbee problem.
Ponder that.

Two-Game Week

This week we will play on both Tuesday, August 1, and Thursday, August 3.
Please BRING YOUR FRIENDS and spread the word!
Remember that games are at 8pm at the Manhasset High School track and that if you're not on the field you can't score a goal... or a touch down... or a point... or a run... or whatever they call it in ultimate frisbee when you achieve the objective of the game!!

We'll play at 8pm on 7/27.
Games are at Manhasset high school, at the astroturf football field with the big lights. Enter the parking lot at the right side of the school and continue around to the back -- you'll see tennis courts in the distance on the left. Walk on the path between the school and the tennis courts and then the field will be on your left. We'll be throwing the circular white discs through the air.

Last night we had 5 on 5, a competetive game with a lot of good plays and a bunch of new players. Final score was 13-8.
